Cross Country Run

 

The Hope Rising Cross Country originally started as just a winter run held in gap in the running callender in February, however after the The Running Tree group asked us to build in another run as part of their calender we started a second Cross Country Run in August. We are now holding each of these annually as the Cross Country Run and Summer Run, see below past event results and photos. 

The inaugural Hope Rising Cross Country run was held at the Avon Tyrell Youth Centre in Hampshire on Saturday 19th February 2011.

 

The day started rainy and wet but by 8 o’clock the rain had stopped and although the sun did not appear, the weather was mild and an ideal day for this scenic run. Over 80 runners arrived and ran a track that was very wet, but this only added to the fun for some!!

The second Hope Rising Cross Country run was held at the Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre in Hampshire on Saturday 18th February 2012.

Saturday started cold and very windy, but on a positive note, the rain held off until well after the race so fortunately the track was not too wet, and had just enough patches of mud to negotiate. The sun appeared a few times...
